MJF competes twice on the card. The Long Island-born star defends the ROH World tag Team Titles against The Gunns of Bullet Club Gold. Unfortunately, he needs to find a new partner with Adam Cole injured. Later that evening, MJF will also defend the AEW World Title against Bullet Club leader Jay White. Can he go 2-0 in California?
Two big grudge matches will be "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland and Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley. The Page-Strickland fight is a Texas Death match, while Cassidy defends the AEW International Title against the man who beat him for the belt a few months ago in Moxley.
Other title fights on the card include defenses from AEW TBS Champion Chris Statlander, AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida, and AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
Non-title fights on the card include Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne, as well as Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho vs. The Young Bucks.

The last time All Elite Wrestling held a pay-per-view event was WrestleDream back in early October. That event saw the AEW debut of Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE. Other highlights from that show included Christian Cage defending the TNT Championship against Darby Allin in a grueling two out of three falls match and Bryan Danielson defeating Zack Sabre Jr. in a dream match. This weekend, AEW will present one of its biggest pay-per-view events of the year.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, AEW presents Full Gear 2023 live from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The annual fall event will feature big title matches and grudge bouts.
The main event of the show will feature MJF defending his AEW World Championship against Jay White. This will come after he defends the Ring of Honor (ROH) World Tag Team Championships on the Zero Hour kickoff show with a mystery partner against The Gunns (Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn).
Then there are other anticipated bouts, such as Orange Cassidy defending the AEW International Championship against Jon Moxley, "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland in a Texas Death match, Sting, Copeland, and Allin facing Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne in a trios match, and so much more.
AEW consistently delivers with their PPV events, but the build to those shows is regularly tepid at best. Same thing with this year's Full Gear event. Tony Khan has booked some strong matches for the show including Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland and the trios match with Team Sting & Edge against Team Christian Cage.
In what has become "classic AEW" these days, there have also been some head scratcher builds like what we've seen between The Golden Jets and The Young Bucks, as well as Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy.
The show is anchored by a more than suitable main event with MJF defending his AEW World Championship against Jay White. Even that match, though, has it's share of confusing details and nonsense to wade through on the road to what inevitably will be a strong match.
This has been the best built match on the card by a wide margin. Page and Strickland have really strong chemistry together and it feels like both truly want to beat the other one to vicious pulp. The Death Match stipulation fits perfectly after Strickland invaded Page's home a few weeks back. That works.
The best part of this is we've gotten to see the shining parts of each guy. Badass Adam Page is the best Adam Page and he's been out in full force. Swerve Strickland has come across as a confident, maniacal, and dangerous villain throughout this and sold the story so well and didn't have to speak a word in the go-home segment from this week's AEW Dynamite.
AEW is cooking with gas on this, but the question is, who win? Swerve. It has to be Swerve. The upside is massive for him and Tony Khan needs to be feeding that momentum and leaning into the potential. It doesn't click from a story standpoint, but this likely isn't the final match between both guys anyway.
MJF will pull double duty as he defends his AEW World Championship against Jay White. Despite not being the actual titleholder, White has run rampant with the belt in his possession across Dynamite, Rampage and Collision for most of the fall. As the longest reigning AEW World Champion in company history, MJF will try to reclaim the championship belt that is rightfully his.
The Plainview, Long Island native also must find a partner to defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Gunns. Without Adam Cole since his broken ankle, MJF has remained the titleholder in handicap matches, but that will undoubtedly change at Full Gear. Who will step up?
Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley will battle again for the AEW International Championship after their terrific match at All Out earlier this year. With another chapter ahead, how will these two perform in their sequel?
Most of the top stars in AEW will be in action when Full Gear emanates from Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, including MJF, who will defend the ROH World Tag Team Championships on the Zero Hour pre-show before putting the AEW World Championship on the line against Jay White in the main event.
The AEW Women's World Championship, International Championship, TBS Championship and AEW World Tag Team Championships will also be up for grabs as part of a stacked card. While MJF wrestled sparingly and only occasionally defended the title early in his reign, he has competed far more regularly in recent months in correlation with an apparent face turn.
MJF and White have been on a collision course for the past couple of months, as AEW has built the former IWGP world champion into a credible challenger for MJF's belt. All the pieces are in place for MJF and White to turn in a spectacular in-ring performance, but there are other storyline elements at work that could potentially take their match to an even higher level.
